Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy focuses on the relationship between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Our reaction to situations is influenced by the perspective that we take on that situation. With CBT, we will teach you to identify, challenge, and reframe negative irrational thoughts or self-talk in order to gain healthy, new perspectives on situations. This form of therapy has been proven to be effective in reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and trauma.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness focuses on being fully aware of what is happening right now without wishing it were different. It means enjoying the pleasant without holding on when it changes (which it will) and being with the unpleasant without fearing it will always be that way (which it won't). Through various techniques, such as breathing, meditation, imagery, and grounding, we will help you get in touch with yourself and your surroundings. There is a way to find stillness in moments of chaos.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy focuses on separating us from the issues we experience in our lives. It encourages us to rely on our skills to minimize concerns that we may be experiencing. This approach focuses on the stories we tell.  We give these stories meaning, and they help shape our identity. The stories we tell impact how we view our past, present, and future. They can also be reauthored to become preferred stories, using the components that comprise a story. With Narrative Therapy, we strive to help you understand the values and the skills you possess in order to strengthen the belief in yourself to overcome adversity.
